Quality and Comfort

Certified Quality

Ontex face masks are disposable Type IIR medical masks, certified by Ontex and the European lab Centexbel.

Protect yourself with comfort

The Ontex masks create a 200 mm wide barrier against tiny droplets and splashes, 30 mm wider than typical masks. The type of mask Ontex produces is used in challenging healthcare environments, such as operating rooms.

Ontex masks with headbands offer a close fit and are comfortable, especially when worn for an extended period of time. The secure fit around the nose reduces fog on glasses or protection screens.

What is a medical mask?

A medical mask is a loose-fitting, disposable device that creates a physical barrier between the mouth and nose of the wearer and potential contaminants in the immediate environment. There are three levels of protection: Type I, Type II and Type IIR. Ontex manufactures the type with highest requirements: Type IIR.

Most demanded solution by hospitals and nursing homes.

Human Icon

Type IIR is currently the highest standard in medical mask with a three-layer splash resistance construction to guarantee 98% filtration capacity.

Stamp Icon

A medical mask is the most recommended option by authorities for asymptomatic users. It is sometimes also referred to as surgical mask.

Single-use masks like the masks produced by Ontex should not be worn more than four hours, typically two a day.
Type IIR medical masks protect the wearer from splashes, sprays and large particle droplets.
Masks help to prevent the spread of potentially infectious respiratory secretions from the wearer to others.

Ontex manufactures Type IIR face masks at its factory in Eeklo, Belgium with more than 40 years of experience in producing reliable personal hygiene products.
