Mayen, Germany, September 17, 2021. Ontex today announced that manufacturing at its plant in Mayen (Germany) will be gradually phased out by mid-2022. Mayen will become an excellence center for Global Process Engineering, Global Product Technology and Market Adaptation Baby Care, and thereby will be instrumental to bring innovations faster to our consumers.

Ontex Group NV has entered into an agreement with Hypera S.A. settling certain claims relating to the acquisition of the Brazilian personal hygiene business of Hypera by Ontex. As part of the settlement, Ontex will receive 500 million Brazilian Reais (€81 million) from Hypera by October 1, 2021.

Ontex today broke ground for a large solar installation at the site of its factory in Ortona, Italy. On-site solar power production helps Ontex to achieve carbon neutral operations by 2030.
