Mayen, Germany, September 17, 2021. Ontex today announced that manufacturing at its plant in Mayen (Germany) will be gradually phased out by mid-2022. Mayen will become an excellence center for Global Process Engineering, Global Product Technology and Market Adaptation Baby Care, and thereby will be instrumental to bring innovations faster to our consumers.

Ontex Group NV has entered into an agreement with Hypera S.A. settling certain claims relating to the acquisition of the Brazilian personal hygiene business of Hypera by Ontex. As part of the settlement, Ontex will receive 500 million Brazilian Reais (€81 million) from Hypera by October 1, 2021.

The Board of Directors of Ontex has appointed Mrs. Esther Berrozpe Galindo as new Chief Executive Officer, with effect from January 1, 2021. On that date, Mrs. Berrozpe will succeed Mr. Thierry Navarre, who has been acting as interim CEO since July 30, 2020.
