Estimates say that the global population will reach 8.5 billion by 2030.
And while more and more people are having a chance for a better life, the rise in individual prosperity increases demand on already constrained natural resources.
1100% sustainable packaging by 2025
We aim to have 100% of our packaging being recyclable, and we are committed to have a minimum of 30% recycled or renewable content in our plastic packaging by 2025. All our cardboard boxes should contain 100% recycled content.

2We improve the sustainability performance of our products
We aim to replace fossil-based materials by bio-based, recycled or non-plastic alternatives to reduce our carbon footprint and plastic consumption. We optimize design so that the output materials can be valorized by recycling or biodegradation.
Examples are menstrual underwear and a hybrid diaper.
3We will actively pursue end-of-life solutions on both recycling & composting
We will actively pursue end-of-life solutions on both recycling & composting.
Recent examples include:
- Industrial diaper composting test with Les Alchimistes
- Diaper collection for recycling in Belgium with start-up Woosh

4Move to zero waste to landfill
We divert production waste from landfill for all Ontex production sites, turning waste into resources. We aim to have a recycling index of 100% by 2025.
